The waiting list.
This has varied from no wait to over four years. I try really hard to keep it under two months. *
My best times for making headjoints are during the summer and over Christmas break. While I can make a few heads during the school year, I usually get a rush of orders in August and January just when I've run out of time to make them.
So, if you're considering a headjoint, please get on the waiting list NOW. It's free and there's no obligation.
All you need do is email me with the following:
your name
address
phone #
make of piccolo
date you'd prefer delivery
I'll confirm your place on the list and try to give an idea when to expect your name to come up.
* This has proven to be wishful thinking. Every year or two I
do manage to get caught up, but lately I've been more involved performing and
teaching while the number of orders has also gone up. If you do want a
headjoint, by all means let me know. I will eventually get it made, but
as of the moment, I don't dare promise a delivery date. I hate to keep
people waiting, but it is probably best to think in terms of years rather than
months. During the summer of 2006 2007 I intend to invest in more
up-to-date machinery to improve both quality and delivery times. I'll
keep you posted!
In 2009 Tiffany Powell (a former graduate student) began helping with communications and in the shop. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! In one year, the waiting list went from four years to just a couple of months. YES!!!!
